All nurses knew that evidence. Whenever they saw a fly in the room of a very ill patient, they knew the patient’s death was a matter of few hours. It was always a nervous fly, attracted by the sweet smell of death, trying to land on the patient’s motionless head.
This is a group of very short stories written in easy English. They mean a picture of shocking facts through only fifty words. Neither more nor less.

The Algerian patient
A young Algerian was in bed, unconscious. The young nurse couldn’t help feeling sorry for him. She entered the room, approached to him, raised her arms, the palms towards the patient’s head, and told him: “Come to life, struggle to live”. Then she thought “But he can’t understand Spanish!”
