The weekend

They had been looking forward to a different weekend. They had imagined themselves lying on a sunny beach while listening to the waves lullaby. They got into their car and two hours later, black clouds, rain and bolts of lightning welcomed them in the seaside resort.

That marvellous weekend

Life was hard. They had been longing for that weekend. It was going to be their first weekend in a seaside resort. They bought suitcases and summer clothes. That weekend came and, with it,  a front of clouds full of rain from the Atlantic. Again, on Monday the sun shone.
